Hi, I'm Yemi
I'm a digital product designer and professional photographer, specializing in visual design, product design (UX/UI), and brand development.
I have over 5 years of experience working with startups, nonprofits, universities, small business owners, and corporations to build user-focused websites and apps, develop strong brand identities, and create sophisticated designs. I've helped craft brands for companies including Jopwell, Andela, Black Girl Fly Magazine, and my own civic tech startup, Civic Eagle. My work has been featured in national publications, including The Huffington Post, Tech Cocktail and Ebony Magazine.
Selected by Squarespace to be an Authorized Trainer.
I also use my expertise to launch successful websites using Squarespace's dynamic platform, and instruct clients on how to manage and maintain their site.
I entered the design and tech industry through a rather unconventional path.
I taught myself photography and graphic design while working as a policy analyst for the New York State Assembly and studying for my Masters in Public Administration. A self-proclaimed politico, I'm passionate about the intersection of public policy and innovation. I especially love to take on projects that involve social innovation.
I'm driven by the challenge of creating effective solutions that can positively impact the world.
To challenge the status quo, to push the limits in creative problem-solving, and to design for the people. I bring these values into my work.
I’ve never been one to be afraid of allowing my curiosity to guide me into discovering new things.
I pull my design influence from my diverse experiences in travel and cultural studies. I love that my work has allowed me to connect with so many incredible individuals and teams.
